QEIIMC prides itself on being well-connected by public transport, offering staff an eco-friendly way to travel to work. Enhanced bus services and extended operating times ensure that getting to QEIIMC is convenient, regardless of your shift schedule. Our TravelSmart Junction, located in E Block, is a valuable resource for staff, providing comprehensive journey planning assistance and advice on public transport options. QEIIMC supports carpooling as part of its green commuting initiative. Carpooling is an excellent way for staff to reduce their carbon footprint, share travel costs, and build community connections. The TravelSmart team at QEIIMC assists staff in finding carpooling partners and provides information on green commuting options.

The Gold Netball Centre (Formerly Matthews Netball Centre), in close proximity to QEIIMC, offers a viable parking alternative for our staff. The car park is located off Salvado Rd has all day parking available, please contact them for rates. This is a short bus ride to site.
Contact the Town of Cambridge with any questions regarding these car parks. Please observe the signage in place if parking in these locations.
Rosalie Park (public parking). Daily charges apply (approx. $10-$14) and is within walking distance to QEIIMC.
QEIIMC Trust does not endorse any QEIIMC staff member or tenant infringing local council Bylaws or soliciting services from private residents that may infringe local council Bylaws. This compliance is crucial, especially when utilising alternative parking facilities like Rosalie Park or Golds Netball Centre.
Please also note there is no parking available to QEIIMC Staff at Kings Park. Vehicles found to park their may be issued with an infringement notice by the Local Council.
Dedicated parking areas for scooters and motorcycles are available, providing convenient options for riders.
At QEIIMC, parking is free for motorcycles and scooters, and no permit or registration is required. Please ensure the motorcycle/scooter is parked in a designated motorcycle/scooter bay. Motorcycle/scooter parking is available in:
Green Commuter parking is an initiative to encourage staff to use alternative transport such as public transport, cycling or walking to work. It is only available to staff who work on a full-time basis and who live outside a 5km radius of the QEIIMC site. Green Commuter parking entitles you to onsite parking a maximum of 2 weekdays per week, plus weekends and public holidays. Please note Green Commuter parking is limited and subject to availability.

PLEASE NOTE: There are currently restrictions on Green Commuter parking as we have reached capacity.
Carpooling is when two or more people commute to QEIIMC together in one car every day. Individuals are not permitted to enter the car park on the days that their partner is absent, especially if one partner works part-time or is on a different shift roster. Alternative modes of transport will need to be used.
If you already have a carpooling partner and understand the Terms and Conditions of carpooling then visit the Parking Department to enquire about receiving a carpooling permit.
