Taxi Call Buttons and Pickup Locations at QEIIMC

Making Taxi Access Easier, Safer, and Smarter

To improve access to taxi services across the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEIIMC), a new system of Taxi Call Buttons and numbered Pickup Points has been introduced. These upgrades are designed to enhance convenience, reduce congestion, and support patients, visitors, and staff in navigating the campus more efficiently.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to make the QEIIMC Campus more accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of its diverse users. Whether you're a patient, visitor, staff member, or taxi driver, these improvements are here to help you move better, together.

Your taxi is now just one button away.

What's New?

  • 10 Taxi Call Buttons installed at key reception desks across the campus.
  • 10 Numbered Pickup Points with clear signage and optional QR codes for walk-up bookings.
  • Real-time taxi dispatch to designated pick up points.
  • Improved traffic management and safety protocols on Hospital Avenue.

Where are the Pickup Points?

Each Pickup Point location is clearly marked and corresponds to a nearby Taxi Call Button.

How It Works

  1. Press the Taxi Call Button at any designated location or scan the QR Code at a pickup point using your smartphone.
  2. The request is sent to nearby taxi drivers.
  3. A taxi is dispatched to the numbered pickup point.
  4. Wait at the signposted location for your ride.
