QEIIMC Circle Buggy Service: New Buggy Service to Support Patient Access During SCGH Redevelopment

The QEIIMC Trust's courtesy volunteer buggy service is set to expand with a second 'circle buggy' route. The additional route is aimed to support patients making their way from the carpark to the hospital during the SCGH Emergency Department Redevelopment.

This service was introduced in response to increased walking distances to the Blue Lifts, following the temporary closure of the Green Lifts. As construction continues, the service will remain essential.

Initially commencing on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, the new ‘circle buggy’ will be operating on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00am to 12:30pm. The service is set to expand as more volunteer drivers come on board.

Note: The existing buggy service, running 9:00 am to 4:00 pm across the entire QEIIMC campus, remains unchanged.

The below image demonstrates the route the new circle buggy will take around the QEIIMC campus.
