Dear QEII Campus Stakeholders
QEII Medical Centre (QEIIMC) Trust is introducing a new parking permit system to support improvements in traffic flow through the introduction of licence plate recognition and updated boom gate technology in all staff carparks across the campus. This changeover is scheduled for mid-November.
There is no change to current parking permits and the current e-tag access is still in place during this changeover period.
As part of the new process, current permit holders have been asked to go to the new parking permit system and submit their details to support the new system.
I would like to reassure current permit holders that the QEIIMC Parking team are processing applications with the assumption that if you are currently a permit holder, you will qualify for parking in the new system.
Unfortunately, some applicants did not submit supporting documentation with their application, and the QEIIMC Trust Parking team is communicating with these people directly to support them through the process.
I am pleased to report that more than 6000 permits are now active in the new system and I thank those staff for responding quickly to our notifications.
My thanks also to Heads of Department/Parking Approvers across the campus who are assisting in the process by verifying applicants’ information.
A reminder to reaching those permit holders yet to submit their details in the new system to please do so as soon as possible to support the transition process.
We will be communicating directly with permit holders closer to the launch date of the new system with further details, such as ensuring your new ‘Zipby Wallet’ is active and has a starting balance.
We recognise that parking during peak times at Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre can be challenging and we continue to look at options to improve parking and access.
If you have any queries on the matter, please contact the QEIIMC Trust Parking Department directly on 6457 1787.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we move to this new process, which will support traffic flow to car parks.
